Dad's Page - AKA Chuck, Charlie or Chucky Dux

I believe this is around 1958 or '59, taken in Denver. My Dad was in the service at the time and we lived in a basement apartment as I remember. I remember Denver being cold there so maybe I shoulda put on a shirt.

What can I say? Thjs was at my Gramma's house in 1956, she passed away shortly after this picture. I vaguely remember this.

What can I say? I remember that black ceramic leopard clearly. I think I broke it later, but it wasn't my fault or maybe it was - that part I can't remember.

This is my Dad and I in our Denver basement apartment. He married my Mom here when I was three years old and wanted me to have his last name 'Shuey'. My last name previously was 'Rhoton'.

 There was a song written called 'He didn't have to be my Dad'.

I have always identified with that song.

Best Dad ever.

Wasn't sure this day was going to happen in 1971. If I didn't pass my Government class final exam I wouldn't have. I got a solid D - Yeah Baby!!

A blind date that worked out pretty damn good (53 years so far) The night included  Knotts Berry farm and the Wax Museum.

An awesome pack trip on horseback over the Sierra's. Left Tom's place, CA with 3 friends, a pack guide, 4 horses and 5 mules. Up and over the Sierras, made camp 9 hours later - Stayed a week and got my deer. We were so far back, we didn't hear another shot fired and it was opening day deer season.

A trip back to Redondo to perform  Larry's wedding in 2022 included a visit to the pier where I asked Deb to go steady with me 51 years prior. She said YES!

Waiting to get my buddy married. Pretty sharp couple of guys if you ask me.
