THORNBUSH

In March of 2022 I had an overwhelming urge to build something somewhat unusual.

An Old West Ghost Town.

It wasn't a practical idea, it wasn't necessary in the everyday sense, nor did it have an end-game. It wasn't needed and wasn't for profit, fun or any ordinary life necessity. It wasn't for anyone but me and those whom I chose to share it with. But it was necessary and was just something I had to do. I will try and keep this site updated as to the current status of Thornbush along with photos, videos and other media. Explore the menu choices at the top of each page. Read the BLOG to see what the latest progress has been. Please take the time to leave me a comment here or email

Now go back up to the top of this page and cruise the menu.

9/03/24 Amazing News - So, I met up with my life-long best friend today as he and his wife were beginning a 2 month RV adventure. He said I might have two passengers to bring home with me to Thornbush. (?) He graciously gave me two mannequins that want to retire in Thornbush. They are original 'dummies' from Old Knott's Berry Farm. I am BLOWN AWAY by his thoughtfulness and generosity. His past wife (now deceased) Andy, bought them years ago at an antique store, and now they are under my care and will reside in Thornbush all of my days anyway. Tomorrow I will introduce them to Thornbush and introduce them to the other residents. Very, very cool. The stories they could tell!

Pictures will follow

Thank You Larry & Cherrell for entrusting

Jeb and Mable to my care!

    but something was missing...

    Quite a predicament

As the time approached for the completion of the first phase of Thornbush, I realized that something was missing. People. In common terms, what sets ghost towns apart from living towns are... people. So if I'm reconstructing a ghost town, it shouldn't have any people. Right?
Even though it defies logic, I wanted to supply residents for the town in order to facilitate my future plans, photos and scenarios. So, I did what I do best. I made 'em.
Let me introduce you to the core population of Thornbush, and my friends.
